Tofino Long Beach

Tofino Long Beach is located  on the west coast of Vancouver Island, in British Columbia, Canada.  Most visitors associate Tofino Beach with Long Beach which is a component of the Pacific Rim National Park. The other beaches around Tofino are Tonquin Beach, MacKenzie Beach, Chesterman Beach.

The world-famous and most popular “Tofino Long Beach” is actually make up of a series of beaches; Schooner Cove and Long Beach proper in the north, Green Point Campground and Combers Beach in the middle and Wickaninninsh Beach in the south.

The township of Tofino is located at the western terminus of Highway 4, at the southern edge of Clayoquot Sound, a world UNESCO biosphere reserve. The town center of Tofino has just under 2,000 permanent residents. The beaches in Tofino are popular with visitors in the summer months – resulting in Tofino’s population swelling to many times it’s normal size.

Tofino provides direct access to British Columbia’s most prized nature reserves, Pacific Rim National Park which is associated with the popular Tofino Long Beach.  In the winter, visitors can enjoy the spectacular sights of powerful storm waves battling the coast. The beaches of Tofino attract surfers, nature lovers, campers, whale watchers, fishermen, or anyone just looking to be close to nature the many eco-ventures the west coast has to offer.

There is a Tofino Transit & Beach Bus service that connect Tofino, Ucluelet and Port Alberni.
